The Classic Chevy Club of Tucson will be hosting their 27th annual Chevy Showdown on Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Registration will start at 8:00 AM and run to 10:00 AM; awards will be at 3:00 PM. This is an all-Chevy show open to all 1987 and older Chevy cars and trucks. The show will take place in the northeast parking lot of Catalina Foothills High School (CFHS). CFHS is located at 4300 E. Sunrise Drive in Tucson, between Potatoc and Swan Roads. THIS IS A NEW LOCATION FOR 2012. Directions to find CFHS from Interstate I-10: Go East on Ina Road as it turns into Skyline and Sunrise drives. Proceed on Sunrise Drive approximately 8 miles past the main cross streets including Oracle Rd., 1st Avenue, Campbell Road, and Pontatoc Road. After Pontatoc, the next traffic light will lead you into the high school parking lot. TURN RIGHT. From east and central Tucson, take Swan Rd. north to Sunrise; turn left onto Sunrise. Then proceed ¼ mile on Sunrise; turn left into the high school parking lot at the traffic light. Follow signs to show area. .

Preregistration entry fee for a vehicle is $30.00, prior to April 21, 2012; $35.00, thereafter. Additional vehicles are $5.00. Entry fee for pre-registered vehicles includes one (1) show T-shirt and a goodie bag with dash plaque. Food and other vendors will be available, on site. Dozens of raffle prizes and a 50/50 cash prize will also be provided. Vehicles will be judged by the host club (hoods must be open for judging). 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given out in 27 classes, plus Daily Driver and People’s Choice. Proceeds will benefit the Tucson Community Food Bank.
