2013 Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson Auction

Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson is the biggest auction and one of the coolest car shows in the United States. You will see both new and old cars at this collector car auction, most of which will be on sale for people to buy. There were hundreds of cars that were sold at last year’s Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson car show and there will be no shortage this year.

The Cars

If you at all interested in cars, this is one of the best places that you can go. There will be hundreds of cars from all over the world at this car show and auction. Even if you have no plan on bidding and buying a new car, this will be one of the most memorable shows that you will ever go to. Let’s just take for example a few of the cars that were sold at last  years’ events and see if it at all interests you. The top ten cars were:

Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2012 – Top Ten Auction Results

  • 1. 1948 Tucker Torpedo – $2,915,000
  • 2. 1947 Bentley Mark VI Franay DHC – $2,750,000
  • 3. 1933 Pierce-Arrow Silver Arrow – $2,200,000
  • 4. 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing – $2,200,000
  • 5. 1954 Desoto Adventurer II Coupe – $1,430,000

  • 9. 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 K Code – $1,000,000
  • 10. 2012 Chevrolet Corvette 60th Anniversary Convertible – $600,000

So we can see that all of these cars where quite sporty and classic. So why wouldn’t you want to go and see someone bid for some of these cars. This is truly an event that you would want to go to and take the entire family for a night of fun.

When thinking about going to this year’s Barrett-Jackson auto auction, think about some of the cars that have been sold. For example there was the 1920 Hudson Super 6 Touring car. This car was mainly used during World War I, but has been nursed back to health to be just as good as it was back in the good ol’ days. Another example is the 1948 Tucker Torpedo. The Tucker Torpedo is a very rare car that you can hardly ever find anymore. One of the main reasons for that is because there were only 51 ever made. While those were only two examples, there are many other cars that will be sold like these two at the Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson show.

This for sure will be a fun time for the family that you would never want to miss. Think of all the old and beautiful cars that you will be able to see there. Make sure you don’t miss this year’s Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction!
